Wholesale Gate

How Wholesale Gate works, how to set it up, and how to reach a human.

Setting it up

  1. Install the app and approve the subscription ($24.90 USD per month, 7-day free trial).
  2. On the app page, set up your price tiers — a name and a percentage off your list prices for each.
  3. Copy your application link and put it in your store navigation, footer, or a "Wholesale" page.
  4. When an application arrives, open the app, pick a tier and press Approve.

Approving creates a real Shopify B2B company, a company location, and a company contact with permission to order — and puts that location into the tier's B2B market, which carries the catalog and price list. The buyer signs in with the email address they applied with and sees their pricing.

Why the price is the same everywhere

The tiers are Shopify's own B2B catalogs and price lists. Shopify applies them on the product page, in the cart and at checkout because it is the platform doing the pricing, not an overlay drawn on top of your theme. This app writes no code into your theme and adds no script to your storefront.

What you need

Frequently asked

Does this edit my theme?
No. The application form is a page we host, reached by the link the app gives you. Nothing is injected into your theme, and uninstalling leaves no leftovers in it.

What happens to a buyer I decline?
Nothing is created in Shopify. They get an email saying the account was not opened, plus whatever reason you typed, and they can still buy at your retail prices.

Can I move a buyer to a different tier later?
Yes — pick another tier on their card and press Move to this tier. The app removes their location from the old catalog before adding it to the new one, so there is never a moment where two prices could apply.

I changed a tier's percentage. Do existing buyers get the new price?
Yes, immediately. The percentage lives on the tier's price list, and every company location in that catalog reads from it.

An approval stopped halfway. What now?
The application stays pending and shows the exact error. Press Approve again — the app skips the steps that already succeeded instead of creating a second company.

Someone applied twice.
They did not: a second application from the same email address while the first is still open returns the original one instead of creating a duplicate.

What happens if I uninstall?
Billing stops, and we delete your settings and every stored application. The companies, locations and catalogs already created stay in your Shopify admin and keep working — they are yours, not ours.

How do I cancel?
Press Cancel subscription on the app page. Billing stops immediately; approved buyers keep their pricing because it lives in Shopify.
